Description (last modified by mf2k (Frank Schima))
I believe there is a bug with the Macfuse 1.7 port. VMWare Fusion 2.x allows you to mount Virtual Machines using their VMDKMounter application and Macfuse. So their installer will install Macfuse 1.5.1 and that will work. However if you elect to skip that install, you can provide your own Macfuse. I tried that and used the Macports Macfuse 1.7 but it does not work. So I uninstalled the macfuse port and then manually installed Macfuse from the DMG provided by Google Code. I was then able to successfully mount a Fusion Virtual Machine.
One thing I noticed while poking around in the /Library/Frameworks/ directory for Macfuse was that the Info.plist file said Macfuse was version 1.6.1 with the MacPorts install. But with the install from the DMG from Google Code, it said version 1.7.1. So I think that perhaps the wrong version is being used by MacPorts.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.5.
