Description
While trying to do a port upgrade or a clean build freetype fails to build no matter what options I try. I have attached the output of trying to build the port.

We just had another report of this on macports-users. There, it seemed as if something in /usr/local was interfering. It is not supported to have anything in /usr/local while using MacPorts, as it can cause bizarre problems like these. What do you have in /usr/local? The command "find /usr/local \! -type d
" should tell you.

Closing due to lack of response. If this is still an issue, please re-open this ticket, but first "sudo port selfupdate" to get MacPorts 1.7.0 and the portfile for freetype 2.3.8.
