MPlayer 1.0rc2 crashes at end of wmv on (my) Tiger

Previous to upgrade, mplayer worked fine. Immediately afterward it started crashing at the end of wmv files (plays all the way through fine). No failure in at least mpeg files; that's all I have to test right now. Here's the session spew from the terminal:

• MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen. It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.

This is not quite what I thought. I've been testing various options and it turns out it's not .wmv files specifically, but it's that mplayer crashes if I have mute on at the end of file of the last file played regardless of codec (only tried .wmv and .mpg)

Sorry for the confusion. Turns out the .wmv files I tried all had obnoxious sound tracks so of course I muted them...

Okay, downloaded source from ​http://www.mplayerhq.hu/ and it exhibits the same behavior. This is an upstream problem. I'd close this if I could.
