a2ps configure broken

Description

I just tried "port install a2ps", and am seeing:

checking host system type... configure: error: cannot guess host type; you must specify one

My 'port' is fully self-up-to-date.

I'm on an intel OSX 10.5.5 powerbook pro, with xcode installed.

Attached a patch which updates a2ps to 4.14 and has the following positive effects: fixes the configure issues, no longer need to patch base.ps, and base handles removal of the info/dir files.
