Note: See
TracTickets for help on using

First, please make sure you have the latest Mac OS X and Xcode. Run "sudo port selfupdate" to make sure your MacPorts and ports are up to date. Check "port outdated" to see if any ports are out of date, and if so, "sudo port upgrade" them. There have been many changes to ports that use X11 recently.
pango already depends on Xft2 which depends on xrender so the dependency you request should already be there. If you still see a problem, please show me exactly what output you see, and let me know what version of Mac OS X and Xcode you have and on what kind of Mac.
