libdvdread fails when called from vobcopy

Description

I get the following error when invoking vobcopy: 

dyld: Symbol not found: _dvdcss_interface_2
  Referenced from: /opt/local/lib/libdvdread.4.dylib
  Expected in: dynamic lookup

Trace/BPT trap

libdvdread was recently updated and the version prior to it worked fine with vobcopy. The only changes I noticed to libdvdread was that libdvdcss was re-enabled.
