Description (last modified by jmroot (Joshua Root))
Hi I have trouble getting xfig to run. It says
Warning: No type converter registered for 'translations' to 'InitialResourcesPersistent' conversion. Warning: No type converter registered for 'TranslationTable' to 'Translations' conversion. Warning: No type converter registered for 'TranslationTable' to 'Color' conversion. Warning: No type converter registered for 'TranslationTable' to 'InitialResourcesPersistent' conversion. Warning: No type converter registered for 'translations' to 'Meta' conversion. Bus error
I must admit I am fairly novice when it comes to anything "under the hood", so might also be that I have done some very silly mistake here. Anyway, I ran my bi-weekly "sudo port upgrade installed" some days ago, and I guess something must have gone wrong then. xfig used to work nicely, but when I needed it today it was dead. I have tried to uninstall & re-install xfig but to no avail. Probably some of xfig's dependencies were updated recently, and xfig cannot cope (... must admit I am guessing here...).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!
I have just installed xfig and I'm getting exactly the same error.

Exactly the same problem for me.
I use the version of gcc provided with Xcode, which is: i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1 (GCC) 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5490)

Looks like it was fixed in 3.2.5_5.

Not sure if corroborating users are useful or not, but I have the same error. I haven't used xfig in about a month, so I'm not sure exactly when it would have started, but I got the exact same error this evening.
The other day I noticed a whole bunch of new X windows stuff being built, so like the original poster, I rebuilt xfig and (I think) all the dependencies with port -f upgrade xfig. Afterward, I still get the same error.

Maybe it helps.
