Can we rename this to be xmlrpcpp since + in port names can (and has) cause issues?

Renamed to xmlrpcpp ;)
I have tried pcre++ on my machine before, worked fine. So i have choosen the ++ as postfix.
BTW: can i change the subject of this ticket (for future searches for example)?

Hmm, sorry, actually I'm wrong, the apparent naming scheme would be to use xmlrpcxx (like libsigcxx2, libxmlxx2 and others). If that's okay I can commit that, and update the subject line as appropriate? And FYI, I filed #20046 to fix pcre++...

Renamed the port to xmlrpcxx. Is there a clarifcation about naming conventions somewhere? I would have prefered xmlrpcpp, because the package name on sourceforge is also xmlrpcpp.
For searching packages, a clarification should also helpful.

There isn't currently any documentation on the ++ -> xx idea, hence my getting it wrong the first time...ticket #20053 has been created to add it to the guide at some point.
xmlrpcxx added in r52842, thanks for your patience; note I made two changes:
- obfuscated your email address
- the distname needed to have xmlrpc++ instead of ${name}
