The actual error is documented below, the issue appears to come from the fact monodoc is now include on mono 2.2 (see url to bug in novell's database).
To reproduce use:
sudo port install mono sudo port install automake sudo port install pango +no_x11 sudo port install gtk2 +quartz sudo port install gtk-sharp2
Then to get the actual issue:
