teTex build fails

This is under Leopard 10.5.6. The build fails with:

Fixed: this is presumably some variation on the problem mentioned in the hotlist entry;

"A port failed to build with a message referring to 1/lib: No such file or directory"

I had a '/usr/lib/ruby 1' directory which I removed followed by port --clean work tetex. teTex then built.
