Description
Hi
I have installed blender and can't launch it. Here is the error output?
$ ./blender dyld: Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/Python Referenced from: /Applications/MacPorts/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/blender Reason: no suitable image found. Did find: /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/Python: mach-o, but wrong architecture /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/Python: mach-o, but wrong architecture Trace/BPT trap
Is this because both python 2.4 and 2.5 are installed on my machine ?
Thanks for your help
Oscar

Blender is a pre-compiled binary for PowerPC only. It also requires manual symlinking of the Python.framework as a note in the Portfile tells. I see no reason why this port installs a binary, it should be changed to download and compile the Blender source.

I'm sure if anyone submitted a port for building blender from source, it would be acceptable. I tried to update blender to build from source a year or two ago, but didn't get very far.

It might be worth trying again from the newest 2.5 version, which seems to implement a lot of changes
What is the result from running the following commands?
