BUG: gimp-2.0.1 crashes opening Color Dialog

Trying to open the Color Dialog box closes down Gimp 2.0.1 with the following error:

(gimp-2.0:917): GLib-GObject-WARNING : Fatal error - Could not reload previously loaded plugin '(unknown)'

This is on a Mac OS X 10.2.8. I tried removing the plugins directory, so that none would be loaded, and removed the ~/.gimp-2.0 resource directory and started it again, same problem.

What versions of glib2 and gtk2 do you have installed?

I to have this issue. I tried everything. Removing ~/.gimp-2.0 Removing all instances of gimp 1.2 nothing helped. I finally took the long task of removing all plug-ins and modules and adding them back in one by one till I found the culporate. if you go to your modules directory (mine is /opt/local/lib/gimp/2.0/modules/) there are two modules (four files) that cause the problem. Move libcolorsel_triangle.la, libcolorsel_triangle.so, libcolorsel_water.la, libcolorsel_water.so to another directory. these two modules (triangle and water) either one will crash gimp. Once removed from the gimp tree you can continue to use gimp without a problem but you will loose the functinality of selecting your colors with the triangle or water methods (default gimp and cmyk work so does gamma, colorblind, highcontrast, and proof) This by no means is a fix but it will get you running. I'll have to find some board day to dive into trangle and water to see why they are misbehaving.

Does this still happen with gimp 2.2.0? We also have GTK+/Glib updates in the pipeline which may help.
