Description
pidgin depends on nss. But it might depends on gnutls instead.

My suggestion was not to switch to, but to allow either of them.
At the time I suggested this bug, I had troubles with the port nss. It led me to install the port gnutls and then compile pidgin by myself.

One reason to offer the choice (if both indeed work) is that nss doesn't have a universal variant, meaning pidgin and finch can't have one either if they depend on nss (see #23485). Building universal is nice, especially as of Snow Leopard. gnutls already has a universal variant so if pidgin and finch were to offer a gnutls option, that would let pidgin and finch build universal too.

Is there a reason to switch to gnutls? It workes fine for me (and other it seems) so unless there is a problem with it I don't want to change it.
