Note that patching is not necessary anymore apparently.

Are the additional configure arguments even necessary anymore? It doesn't seem like the expat ones are needed and the zlib one doesn't seem to make a difference.

Instead of leaving this as nomaintainer, I've put myself on as openmaintainer.

I'm waiting to hear back from the submitter and the original maintainer to further decide what to do with the maintainer.

There had been a newer version of gpsbabel for 7 months, and nobody updated the port file, so it didn't look actively maintained. You can put me as maintainer if you need someone.

Further digging through tickets reveals that the original maintainer has not been involved for over a year. I believe this maintainer is no longer active, and we are therefore definitely removing him.
