portindex command hangs on x86

DarwinPorts where installed like this:

then I added /opt/local/bin to PATH in /etc/csh.login and /etc/profile and logged out and in again.

after that I did the following:

localhost:~ root# cd darwinports/dports/ localhost:~/darwinports/dports root# portindex

which resulted in:

here it hangs forever. the process that hangs is:

Then I attached gdb to this process:

This is a bug in Darwin x86, not DarwinPorts.

Please try this again on OpenDarwin 7.2.1
