pcre-7.9 build failure

pcre fails when I try to build. I am running Snow Leopard v10.5.1. I have the latest XCode and X11 installed. I've search around a bit and couldn't find anything related that worked. Any ideas?

You must have upgraded from Leopard and assumed Macports would work. Please read the ​migration page on the wiki.
