policykit fails to build with xsltproc problem
Reported by: | swebster@… | Owned by: | dbevans (David B. Evans) |
---|---|---|---|
Priority: | Normal | Milestone: | |
Component: | ports | Version: | 1.8.0 |
Keywords: | policykit xsltproc | Cc: | ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt) |
Port: | policykit |
Description (last modified by ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt))
Building policykit fails here:
Making all in man /opt/local/bin/xsltproc -nonet http://docbook.sourceforge.net/release/xsl/current/manpages/docbook.xsl polkit-auth.xml /opt/local/bin/xsltproc -nonet http://docbook.sourceforge.net/release/xsl/current/manpages/docbook.xsl polkit-action.xml
Well, it just hangs, seemingly forever. I have seen #19784 but I have docbook.xsl in my catalog in this case and I tried removing and reinstalling docbook-xsl with no luck. Also, the first xsltproc command seems to work, just the second one hangs.

I am also encountering this problem on my existing Leopard installation, and on Snow Leopard (where policykit successfully installed on September 10 but now fails as above). It was also reported on the mailing list.

Problem solved by upgrading libxslt from 1.1.25_0 to 1.1.26_0. See http://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail/macports-dev/2009-September/010245.html

Confirmed! Thanks for letting us know.
I should add that I just wiped out my macports installation entirely after upgrading to snow leopard. I encountered this problem while trying to install my first new port: gimp.
