/opt/local/etc/gimp/2.0/menurc
is the file to edit. Maybe one can use a local file (.config/…
)
Example: Configure GIMP 2.10 To Use Photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts (How-To) - Linux Uprising Blog

If it is/was a bug, it's prob been fixed by now.

Any chance of solving this using a configuration file? Maybe one of the *rc, or something. Most MacPorts-based GIMP installs won't include Gnome dependencies... so who/what handles the shortcuts? Every single one labeled as ⌘-key (⌘N, ⌘C, etc) functions exactly the same as Control-Key (including Control-Q, which works to quit the app). Seems like a fix would be pretty easy, just have to find out where...
