Description (last modified by mf2k (Frank Schima))

Hi,

There seems to be a bug in the script for porting maxima. Here is the portion of the printout where the port halts:

--->  Fetching sbcl
--->  Attempting to fetch sbcl-1.0.29-source-r2.tar.bz2 from http://internap.dl.sourceforge.net/sbcl
--->  Verifying checksum(s) for sbcl
--->  Extracting sbcl

Error: Target org.macports.build returned: can't read "host_lisp": no such variable
Error: The following dependencies failed to build: sbcl tk Xft2 xrender xorg-renderproto tcl xorg-libXScrnSaver xorg-libXext xorg-scrnsaverproto
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
JoanMacBookPro:~ JoanRoughgarden$
JoanMacBookPro:~ JoanRoughgarden$ sudo port install maxima

I hope you can find the problem. Thanks so much. Sincerely, Joan Roughgarden San Francisco

I see a different error for sbcl.

I'm running 10.5.8 on a PowerPC G5.

I see what the original poster saw. Running Snow Leopard and reinstalled MacPorts from scratch a few weeks ago.

I'm experiencing the problem reported at the beginning too. Is there any workaround?

I see the following:

--->  Building sbcl
Error: Target org.macports.build returned: can't read "host_lisp": no such variable
Error: The following dependencies failed to build: sbcl tk Xft2 xrender xorg-renderproto tcl xorg-libXScrnSaver xorg-libXext xorg-scrnsaverproto
