When installing
port install gtk2 +no_x11 +quartz
there is no compatibility header <gdk/gdkx.h>, originally for use with X WIndow, but other packages may expect it, such as
port install emacs +gtk
as well as GtkAda (probably not a part of MacPorts), which now fail.
So it might simplify if it would possible to add it.

Other ports should be fixed instead. If it uses gdkx.h, chances are great for it to use libgdk-x11.
Well, try with emacs.
