When I try to build and install arm-elf-gcc, I get the falling error.

I'm also attaching the entire typescript of the build attempt incase it is helpful. Sorry about the size.
I also submitted it for tick 21758, but upon closer inspection, I think that I'm having a different issue as I seem to be unable to build at all.

I'm wondering if anyone is working on a fix for this.
Thanks.

I agree. I didn't see those before. For some reason, I can only find them through google. Searches on macports brings up this ticket, and your links seem to be dead.
20816 says fixed and for some reason, I can't tell what it is. There still doesn't seem to be a fix for 21706 either.

I have to clarify some of my comments that may not have made much sence.
I mentioned links in your post. I see now that they aren't links. I'm blind and am using Voiceover which is a screen reading program built in os10 and for some reason it it announcing the block quotes as links. I figured this out after looking closer at the wiki formatting page.
Sorry for cluttering up the ticket, but IJust wanted to clear that up.

After some struggling, I was able to successfully build the i386-elf-gcc port by applying the changes referenced for those two tickets. Sorry I messed up the links, it was not clear to me how exactly to do it. Those same changes will likely help correct this problem as well.

I am having the same problem in SnowLeopard. The same installation on Leopard works fine. I am not sure what the solution is and how you managed to build it. I looked at the referenced tickets, but it didn't help to fix it. Can you describe what you did? Thanks!
