I'm a new user discovering MacPorts for the first time, and this is blocking almost everything I want to install. Same error here, it's dbus.

May be a dup of #21654. Try "sudo port install libtool && sudo port clean dbus && sudo port install dbus". This worked on SnowLeopard, MacOS 10.6, 32-bit, MacPorts 1.8.1.

I was having the same problem. This solution works for me. SnowLeopard, MacOS 10.6.1, 32-bit, MacPorts 1.8.1.
Thanks!
