Description (last modified by mf2k (Frank Schima))
Hi, I tried to install logsurfer on my mac, (after an auto update of mac port) and got the following error message:
Macintosh:~ jurgenblaser$ port info logsurfer logsurfer @1.6b (security) Variants: universal Description: similar to the well-known swatch program on which it is based, but offers a number of advanced features which swatch does not support. Logsurfer is capable of grouping related log entries together - for instance, when a system boots it usually creates a high number of log messages. Homepage: http://www.crypt.gen.nz/logsurfer/ Platforms: darwin License: unknown Maintainers: mat@phpconsulting.com, jmpp@macports.org, openmaintainer@macports.org Macintosh:~ jurgenblaser$ Macintosh:~ jurgenblaser$ sudo port -v install logsurfer Password: ---> Computing dependencies for logsurfer. ---> Building logsurfer Error: Target org.macports.build returned: can't read "build.cmd": Failed to locate 'make' in path: '/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin' or at its MacPorts configuration time location, did you move it? Warning: the following items did not execute (for logsurfer): org.macports.activate org.macports.build org.macports.destroot org.macports.install Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. Macintosh:~ jurgenblaser$
but I did not move a file .. what did I do wrong (or what needs to be changed)? thanks in advance Jürgen

What version of Mac OS X are you running? What version of Xcode? Did you run the default install of Xcode?

Make sure you have Xcode (with the "unix dev tools" option select) installed. Trac is not for tech support, especially when it's something clearly stated in the installation instructions.
Note: See
TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
