error when compiling xchat on snow leopard

I have installed xcode 3.2.1 and macports 1.8.1.
Here's the error that I got:

- r61224: added a note to xchat advising users they probably want xchat2 instead
Do we even need to keep the xchat port around anymore, since it doesn't even compile?
