Port: | xfig |
Description
macmini 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GByte RAM
Mac OS X 10.6.2 / SnowLeopard
Xcode (3.2.1) + SDK installed
macports 1.81
After more than one week troubleing and system crashes at every installed port, I was happy to come through ... but then, xfig could not linked because of not finding the Xi-library.
The result of "sudo port -d -v install xfig" is added.
Many Thanks.

Summary: | xfig linking --> "library not found for -lXi" → xfig: ld: library not found for -lXi |
On my system xfig installs fine without needing the Xi library. But there are other open tickets for xfig which are caused by it looking in /usr/X11R6 for libraries, which is no longer appropriate and needs to be fixed.

Now, after REinstalling SnowLeo+Xcode+Macports the third time *and* many system crashes, it works ;-)) Unbelievable !
Don't ask why ... !
