I thought about that as well, but the bluefish team released it under the stable branch and not under the unstable branch. If you still prefer, close this ticket, and I'll open another for bluefish-devel.

I understand that 2.0.0-rc1 may have come from their stable branch, but it is not a stable version; it's a release candidate of a stable version. Their download page states that 1.0.7 is the latest stable version. My recommendation remains that the bluefish port should only be for stable versions, and that bluefish-devel should be used for any other versions. See precedent in ports like php5 & php5-devel, speex & speex-devel, scala & scala-devel, grails & grails-devel, dynamips & dynamips-devel.
Feel free to submit a diff for bluefish-devel in this ticket (no need to open a new ticket).

Summary: | Update Bluefish to 2.0.0.rc1 → bluefish-devel: update to 2.0.0.rc1 |
bluefish should only be updated to stable versions; 2.0.0-rc1 is a release candidate. We should update bluefish-devel to 2.0.0-rc1 instead.
