For the development team to actually test mac ports because it seems that it's so lame at the moment they either don't test it or don't know what they're doing.

Well you must have inferior tests as I'm having problems with Mac Ports.
Maybe you need to improve your tests. What are your tests? If the tests are so good why are there so many problems with mac ports?
