gperf fails to install on 10.6.2 SnowLeopard

Yes, there were similar reports. I've found recommendations at the end of one of those:

sudo port selfupdate
sudo port upgrade --force installed

and no report wether it helped. It did not help me. sudo port -v install ghostscript left the following error messages:
