Description
I reinstalled the GIMP2 after upgrading to Snow Leopard 10.6. Under my previous GIMP2 installation, there was a link in /Applications/macports to allow me to start the GIMP. After the re-installation, the link was gone. I initially tried the installation of the GIMP macports 1.7 on Snow Leopard, but upgraded macports to 1.8 and reinstalled the port. I can run the GIMP from /opt/local/ but I liked the convenience of the link. I expected a fresh installation of the port to include creation of the link.

I think you want the gimp-app port. But ironically it does not seem to build now, see #21718.
