Should this port use a pre-release tarball, or do those belong in a separate git-core-devel port?

As you can see at http://repo.or.cz/w/git.git version 1.7.1 was promoted to the new master. Maybe the website wasn't updated accordingly. Usually there won't be any changes until this is done.

The final tarball is there in the download directory. I don't see why this needs to be reopened.

Sorry, I overlooked that the 1.7.1 Portfile was applied to the distribution before.

In the meantime version 1.7.1 was released. I updated the Portfile accordingly.
