Description
/opt/local/var/macports/distfiles takes up almost one GB, and contains archives (.bz2 & .gz) only?
Is that a folder containing only the "installers"? Especially Qt & TeX are really big.
Can I delete the contents of that folder, or will that cause problems?
thx!

I found a solution to my question myself, thank you very much.
sudo port clean --all installed sudo port -f uninstall inactive
has cleaned the /distfiles folder from most of those archives there, anyway.
