Description
I tried to "sudo port upgrade websvn". It fails:
---> Attempting to fetch websvn-2.3.1.tar.gz from http://lil.fr.distfiles.macports.org/websvn ---> Attempting to fetch websvn-2.3.1.tar.gz from http://distfiles.macports.org/websvn ---> Attempting to fetch websvn-2.3.1.tar.gz from http://websvn.tigris.org/files/documents/1380/47525 ---> Attempting to fetch websvn-2.3.1.tar.gz from http://aarnet.au.distfiles.macports.org/pub/macports/mpdistfiles/websvn ---> Attempting to fetch websvn-2.3.1.tar.gz from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/distfiles/websvn ---> Attempting to fetch websvn-2.3.1.tar.gz from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/distfiles/general/ Error: Target org.macports.fetch returned: fetch failed
But there seems to exist no such file

at these urls.

Are you certain you're using MacPorts 1.9.0? The bug that prevented websvn 2.3.1 from fetching was supposed to have been fixed in MacPorts 1.9.0; see #24584.
MacPorts 1.9.1 was released today. Please "sudo port selfupdate" to get it and try websvn again.

Today I tried the proposal which is described under #24584 after upgrading MacPorts to v.1.9.1: still no success.

It works for me so I'm not sure what's different on your system. Are you able to fetch the file manually by visiting WebSVN's web page in a browser? If so, you can put the file in /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/websvn and MacPorts will use it.

Michael indicated via email that he was able to manually fetch the distfile and then install the port.
I still can't explain why MacPorts was unable to fetch the file itself since it works fine for me.
added: Sorry, I forget my settings: mac port 1.90, os x 10.6.3, macbook pro
