Description (last modified by mf2k (Frank Schima))
I installed gcc45 using Mac ports successfully on both my home and work computers (running Snow Leopard and mac ports 1.9 and 1.9.1), e.g. I get the following output when I update:
---> Computing dependencies for gcc45 ---> Fetching gcc45 ---> Verifying checksum(s) for gcc45 ---> Extracting gcc45 ---> Applying patches to gcc45 ---> Configuring gcc45 ---> Building gcc45 ---> Staging gcc45 into destroot ---> Computing dependencies for gcc45 ---> Installing gcc45 @4.5.0_4 ---> Deactivating gcc45 @4.5.0_3 ---> Activating gcc45 @4.5.0_4 ---> Cleaning gcc45
However, when I try to invoke gcc45 I simply get command not found. Further, when I try man gcc45 I get "No manual entry for gcc45" and for apropos gcc45 I get "gcc45: nothing appropriate". When I locate gcc45, all I see are a bunch of sources.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I've tried gcc44. I can never find the binary for gcc45...

The commands have the suffic -mp-${branch}
, so gcc-mp-4.5
for example.
