I have Leopard Mac OS X 10.5.8 with XCode 4.1.3.

This is quite bad for me, because gettext upgrade seems to be needed for almost all other ports.

Actually I was hoping for the main.log file referred to by the error message: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_devel_gettext/main.log. Please clean the port, try again, and when it reaches the error, attach the main.log.

ok, added. seems to be quite similar like the stderr to me, that's why i left this out.

NOT SOLVED, but no problem for me any more. Updated my Leopard to Snow Leopard an now i'll do a complete reinstall.
if anybody can, please close this ticket ("Works for me" or sth. like this)
