Description
$ sudo port install openssl ---> Computing dependencies for openssl ---> Fetching openssl ---> Verifying checksum(s) for openssl ---> Extracting openssl ---> Applying patches to openssl Error: Target org.macports.patch returned: can't read "configure.sdkroot": no such variable Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. Before reporting a bug, first run the command again with the -d flag to get complete output.
Broken in r69417. Removing the first hunk of that patch fixes the build.

It builds fine for me. Are you really using MacPorts 1.9.1? What does "port version" say? What version of Mac OS X are you using, on what Mac?

Are you really using MacPorts 1.9.1?
Clearly not, or there would be a log location printed instead of the "run the command again with the -d flag" message.
