mod_security checksum error

I am trying to install mod_security, and this is the message that I continue to receive. I have checked the mod_security website, but they have a newer version (2.5) that I can not install outside of using macports.

Message: 

Port command started with PID 6668

Error: Checksum (md5) mismatch for mod_security-1.8.6.tar.gz
