I cannot selfupdate port. Below is the issue that arose.

I am trying to install a software called MEEP on my MAC. I do not have much knowledge about Macports. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I cannot edit source.conf! It is a read only file only.

Then change its permissions or open it as a user with sufficient permissions.

Sorry for the late reply. I was waiting to get my OS upgraded.

I am the admin on this computer. I changed the preferences to to read and write on sources.conf for all the users and still I cannot change it. Its strange. Any suggestions would be really helpful.
