texlive-bin @2009 tlmgr missing (port installs a broken symlink)

port install texlive-bin provides: 

    /opt/local/bin/tlmgr -> /opt/local/share/texmf-texlive/scripts/texlive/tlmgr.pl

but the referenced file is not there. It is not present anywhere on disk, so this is not just an incorrect location.

tlmgr cannot be used with texlive, so this symlink should not be installed.

By which I mean texlive installed through MacPorts, of course.

It's perhaps conceivable that you could set up a separate texmf tree that uses tlmgr, but I haven't thought about it.

I think I would be a great idea. Personally I don't like to install a large tex distribution. I prefer to have just basic, and then to upload packages if neaded.
