Description
clang is not included in llvm 2.8_1. I have macports 1.9.1, running on Mac OS X 10.6.4, latest ports as of now (14-Oct-2010). There is no clang variant on llvm, nor is there a clang port.
Apparently from the discussion at http://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail/macports-users/2010-October/022311.html, there was clang variant (and on by default), in 2.8_0, but was removed in 2.8_1.
Would it be possible to add clang and possibly the static analyzer tool (if it is distributed with clang) to the llvm port?

The plan is to have a separate port for clang
OK, thanks for the info, looking forward to having this available in MacPorts.

Fixed in r72570. Sorry for the delay. Had to fix some unexpected issues in the ld64 port first.
