This patch does not work because it removes the checksums for the documentation distfile, which makes the +doc variant fail.
Why does this patch switch to a zip distfile? the zip distfile is larger than the tar.gz distfile. Why not switch to the tar.bz2 distfile which is smaller than either of them?

I am inclined to delete the +doc variant and make the port always install the documentation.

Er, wait, the port was already using a tar.bz2 distfile. So the question then is just why switch to a zip distfile? I'm inclined not to do so, since as mentioned the tar.bz2 file is smaller.
