long description should remove extra whitespace

As it stands now, the long description is taken directly from the port file without any processing. It really ought to remove extra whitespace on its own, so that the long description can appear in port files in the same manner as other multi-line items.

Tcl does remove the extra whitespace. At least, that's what my Tcl book says. :)
