I'm using snow leopard , and found failed during the apache2 installation , inside the console i saw :
$ sudo port -d install apache2 ...(cut)... DEBUG: OS Platform: darwin DEBUG: OS Version: 10.5.0 DEBUG: Mac OS X Version: 10.6 DEBUG: System Arch: i386 ...(cut)... Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1 DEBUG: upgrade openssl failed

Please clean openssl and try again:
sudo port clean openssl
If it fails again, attach the main.log file whose location it will print out.
