It seems like the gajim devs have switched from svn to mercurial and the portfile needs to be adjusted.
"svn: Can't connect to host 'svn.gajim.org': Connection refused"

gajim-devel is also several major versions out of date. Simon, you should use the gajim port instead.
René, should we just delete gajim-devel? Or rather, mark it as replaced_by gajim for awhile?

Alternately, if you're planning on reviving gajim-devel, you could also make use of the daily snapshots they make available, instead of fetching from mercurial.

I am working on an update of gajim-devel at the moment.
A gajim-devel port makes sense, since the gajim repository contains a macosx-related branch. It has not been released yet but works well.
