Description
maxima tries to compile with sbcl, without the --no-user-init option. By consequence, user specific ~/.sbclrc file is loaded, and this may cause compilation problems. Any system-wide lisp code should be compiled without loading a user specific customization file!

Might be worth raising this upstream too, see if they can add a configure knob so patching isn't necessary.
