postgresql90 is wanting to use python27, but I wonder if it matters what python you've python_select
ed. Try to python_select python27
, then sudo port clean postgresql90
and try again. If that works, we'll know there's some part of the postgresql90 build that's using python
instead of python2.7
.

I actually did already have python27 selected when I was trying to build postgresql90.

Just upgraded python27 to @2.7.1_1+ucs4. Building postgresql90 still fails.

Also failing for me.
Manually running configure / make install works.
Tail end of output from sudo port configure postgis +universal:
---> Configuring postgresql90 Error: Target org.macports.configure returned: configure failure: shell command failed (see log for details) Error: Failed to install postgresql90 Log for postgresql90 is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_databases_postgresql90/main.log Error: The following dependencies were not installed: postgresql90 Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
The log doesn't have much more info.
But when I try to configure manually with the same configure arguments:
./configure --prefix=/opt/local --disable-dependency-tracking --sysconfdir=/opt/local/etc/postgresql90 --bindir=/opt/local/lib/postgresql90/bin --libdir=/opt/local/lib/postgresql90 --includedir=/opt/local/include/postgresql90 --datadir=/opt/local/share/postgresql90 --mandir=/opt/local/share/man --with-includes=/opt/local/include --with-libraries=/opt/local/lib --with-openssl --with-bonjour --with-readline --with-zlib --with-libxml --with-libxslt --enable-thread-safety --enable-integer-datetimes --with-ossp-uuid
I get this:

Duplicate of #27687. The difference in presentation is because in this case the MacPorts python is different enough to the system python because of +ucs4 that it fails to link.
