while trying to install qtoctave-mac, I got the following error log:

May basic problem: I don't have a clue what to make of it.

The current Macports version of atlas is outdated. It is 3.8.3, whereas the current version is 3.9.33 (and Lapack 3.3.0).

Try the attached portfile, and please tell me if it works.

1st of all: THANKS!!!

One more question: Could you do me the huge favour and give a little 1-2-3-way on how to install from a portfile? Never done that and therefore don't have a clue at all.

Solved by just doing:

sudo port clean atlas sudo port install atlas

Will try the attached portfile for updating.

last addition: vince's Portfile worked flawlessly on my machine.
