Running from the command line results in Vidalia exiting with the following:
bash-3.2$ pwd /Applications/Vidalia.app/Contents/MacOS bash-3.2$ ./Vidalia dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libpng12.0.dylib Referenced from: /opt/local/lib/libQtGui.4.dylib Reason: image not found Trace/BPT trap

This is a problem caused by the update of libpng from 1.2 to 1.4 and it is affecting your qt4-mac build. You need to rebuild qt4-mac. Run the following:
sudo port selfupdate sudo port upgrade qt4-mac
In any event, this is not a problem with the vidalia port.
