Description

Trying to upgrade/install Digikam 1.8 on Mac Os X 10.6.6 (Xcode 3.2.5), stuck because can't build kdepimlibs4 (needed by kdebase4, needed by kdeedu4, needed by digikam).

I got this message in the terminal:

One finds this line in the log file:

:info:build /opt/local/include/nepomuk/entity.h:28:24: error: Soprano/Node: No such file or directory

when building akonadi.

I had a similar situation (for the same goal - building digikam 1.8). My solution was to uninstall MacPorts (this might not be necessary, but I was quite frustrated...) and to wait a few days for new package versions to come. Some days later everything worked fine for me with Kdepimlibs4 @4.6 and Akonadi @1.5. Do you have Soprano installed (on my Mac it's Soprano @2.5.63)?

Is this still an issue or can it be considered closed??

I am having this issue too (trying to get to Digikam on Snow Leo).

The following fails:

$ sudo port install kdepimlibs4
--->  Computing dependencies for kdepimlibs4
--->  Configuring kdepimlibs4
Error: Target org.macports.configure returned: configure failure: shell command failed (see log for details)
Log for kdepimlibs4 is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_kde_kdepimlibs4/main.log
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.

With this in mail.log for kdepimlibs4:

Doug,

The original poster's issue was Soprano.

If you don't have this in your logs you have a different problem:

:info:build /opt/local/include/nepomuk/entity.h:28:24: error: Soprano/Node: No such file or directory

Resolution: worksforme
Status: newclosed

Closing; can't reproduce original poster's problem and lack of updates.
