Apologies: I didn't know a patchfile was required for a version bump. I've added the file now

As the maintainer, you are always supposed to supply a patch. Also, you didn't update the checksums, so I don't see how this patch could work.

A question: would it possible to disable the automatic mirroring of the source tarball on the Macports mirrors? I would like to keep track of the number of downloads on github.

You should ask this question on the Macports-Developers list. I'm not sure.

Fetching fails for me. It says access denied.

Looks like the people from github changed the download urls of the projects... Now they are using secure https urls for this... Since I didn't manage to download from these locations with fetch, I switched to a git checkout, which works fine.

Please have a look at the revised Portfile
