Error: Target org.macports.configure returned: missing Java headers

Upon updating the following error stopped the process...

You did not paste the relevant part of the error message, which was: 

db46 requires the Java for Mac OS X development headers.
Download the Java Developer Package from: <URL>

Where "URL" was the URL where you could download the headers. Please try again and follow the instructions in the error message to download and install the headers.

Simply installing the latest Java update with with Software Update should also bring back the headers now.
